The Mayhem Arsenal M40A1- Old school with a twist
I have always loved the original M40A1 rifle. This build stays true to the original in a lot of ways. Where it differs is the use of more modern parts to make it a much better weapons system.
We start with a stainless steel Remington 700 short action. It goes through our complete blueprint and truing process.
Then a Lawton Nosler bolt stop is installed.
We install a PTG spiral fluted bolt with the M-16 extractor for zero fail extraction. Then the bolt has a Mayhem Arsenal Ripper bolt knob installed.
After that an original Schneider M40 6 goove barrel is perfectly mated and chambered to the receiver with minimal headspace.
The entire barrel action is Ceracoted black and steel bedded in a McMillan M40A1 stock in Woodland Camo.
Other parts installed are a Timney trigger, PTG steel bottom metal, and a Mayhem Arsenal steel 20 MOA picatinny rail.
These rifles are guaranteed to shoot ½ MOA with premium target ammo. And boy do they!
